We at ATMS believe that,
Knowledge + Goodness in the Heart = Guaranteed Success and this is how the thought of a week-long celebration of goodness came to life.
Good Deed Week is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to spreading kindness and compassion. Celebrated from 1st July to 7th July every year, the event is the brainchild of our partner, CA Shefali Arora, whose vision was to create a ripple effect of meaningful impact through collective action. From food distribution drives, blood donations and NGO visits to tree plantations, doing random acts of kindness and awareness sessions, each act creates a lasting change. Our team comes together with purpose and empathy, turning small gestures into powerful outcomes.
ATMS celebrated its tenth annual Good Deed Week from July 1 to 7, 2025.
What made this milestone even more special was the active participation of TBNG Mumbai along with our ATMS offices in Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, and Indore transforming it into a truly pan-India celebration of kindness.
Over the years, Good Deed Week has evolved into a more structured and impactful initiative anchored in thoughtful planning and heartfelt execution. It has become a time not just for personal growth, but for opening our hearts, brightening smiles, and connecting with the larger world through meaningful action. A brief glimpse of our activities is shared below.
Day 1: Smile Day
The essence of Smile Day lies in a simple yet powerful idea to smile and to spread smiles. A gentle reminder that a Smile is contagious, and sometimes, the smallest gesture can brighten someone’s entire day. The week kicked off with Smile Day, filling the office with joy and positivity. Our lively Smiley mascot danced, posed, and brought infectious energy to all. It set the perfect tone for a week dedicated to kindness and connection.
Day2: Gratitude Day
Gratitude helps us stay grounded, appreciate the present, and build deeper, more meaningful relationships. It fosters a positive mindset, even in challenging times. At ATMS, we ensure our team reflects on this through meaningful experiences. One such activity was writing and exchanging appreciation notes with colleagues.
Day 3: Blood Donation
A key annual tradition, blood donation day gave everyone the chance to save lives. The Tata Memorial Trust’s medical team skillfully and gently supported the process. Despite personal apprehensions, members stepped forward, generous and willing. While donated blood replenishes quickly, the hope it provides endures much longer
Day 4: Tree Plantation
Tree plantation plays a vital role in restoring ecological balance and combating climate change. It also fosters a sense of responsibility towards preserving our planet for future generations. At Yeoor Hills, the team planted saplings as a symbol of hope and sustainability. This was followed by an awareness session by the Anti Plastic Brigade Trust on recycling and sustainable living.
Day 5: NGO Visits
Taking goodwill beyond the office, ATMS members visited thirteen NGOs and community organizations across various cities including Ambika Gujarati Medium School, Ma Niketan, Vivekanand Balashram, Aarna Foundation, Earth Saviours Foundation, and more. Donations of food, essentials, and genuine smiles reached over 2,000 people, raising nearly 2 lakh rupees. These visits filled everyone with joy and a sense of fulfillment that only serving others can bring.
Day 6: Roti Daan
On Sunday, the ATMS family came together to distribute food to those in need. What felt like a small act turned out to be deeply moving, as team members personally saw the impact of distributing meals with construction workers and their families. Ann daan is the best form of daan it not only feeds the body but also nourishes the soul, reminding us of the joy in giving.
Day 7: Turning Intentions Into Impact
The week concluded on an inspiring note, highlighting the power of setting clear and purposeful intentions. Intentions help channel our thoughts into focused action, creating momentum for positive change. The team reflected on personal and collective goals, using “I am” affirmations to reinforce belief and commitment.
As Good Deed Week ended, everyone was left with new memories, a deep sense of accomplishment, and renewed inspiration to bring goodness, smiles, and heartfelt connections to even more lives in the years ahead.
Looking forward to a bigger and better Good Deed Week next year till then let’s continue making the world a better place through small, meaningful acts of kindness, one act at a time.
